The reason I was asking was because I remember reading somewhere that breeding two Blue Mille Fleur together produced only 50% Blue Mille Fleur chicks, 25% Mille Fleur, and 25% Splash.

I'm in Canada and am ordering from a local hatchery, Performance Poultry.

I'm not sure, i know in BLRW it's a bit hard, you should post photos and we'll take a look.

Yes, they are quite easy to tell apart in my experience. Especially the Splash Mille Fleur since they look like a Golden Neck. If you can't tell the difference between the Blue Mille Fleur and Mille Fleur at hatch, then it should become obvious by the time they start to get wing feathers.

Sharing my adorable little 5 chicks who are creeping up on 4 weeks old here in a few days! I'm hoping for all pullets, but I know it's a long shot. Maybe some pink roses from the DH will inspire them to stay sweet and not crow... but I can't believe how big these fluff balls have gotten! Any help with gender and color ID is greatly appreciated! I'm just learning and guessing at this stage.

I know these pics are terrible but I am computerless for awhile and phone is only option. I got just 4 straight run chicks this year, the rest are pullet run. I finally got a D'Uccle and a couple Cochins. They are only 1-2 week old I think but all 3 seem to already have very pronounced combs. I am not familiar with the breed though. Is this average comb development or more cockerel looking?

New march2014; I am no expert but what I noticed is the males Combs are red and the females are pinkish. Hope that helps

I am wondering if the males coloring is more red than the females too. Cause that's what I am noticing. I have 9 Mille Fluer D'uccles. And they are 5 weeks old

I am just wondering if even the pullets pink earlier cause if this is like any other breed im familiar with this is a rooster cause it is for sure pink and early.

From my experiences d'uccle roosters get pink combs pretty early, at around 3-5 weeks, and will quickly turn red by 8 weeks.

I am suspecting cockerel more every day. Lol he is less than a month.
