hun. I sooo appreciate all of you understanding the situation on my end (shoes). Still recovering from 23 staples/surgery, then holidays, ect. Not to mention my 13yr olds B-Day was 8th of Dec

I'm ashamed of myself. Not to mention Carolyn patiently "tap, tapping" her fingers waiting on her eggs. Sheesh. I'm just glad to be over (getting over, actually EATING tonight...CHICKEN! Ha) the flu...that's the worst case we've had in years, like 18 years!.

she's been in the basement for the past few days (there's a show coming up) so she's used to higher temps- when she is near the heat pad she pants, and when she's away from it, she shivers.

Gypsy- I agree with you on those cockerels that Acid_chipmonk and sportsterjeep have! Nice looking silkies too in the back ground. -I don't own silkies, but those are some kind of white!

I have back-read many pages of this thread trying to get a handle on the discussions about d'Uccles . . . and I don't see a definitive answer about the golden neck / buff mottle issue, so I am throwing out this possibility: is the color golden neck only called that in the U.S. - - and Europeans referring to the same color pattern as buff mottled? That's how it appeared to me from reading Feathersite and several European breeder websites.

Thanks for any input!

[Ed. to add - - Ah, I just found the color section of the standard on the d'Uccle Club website. It's tricky to find!]

I am just posting the link, as it is rather long. Now it appears my boy is lighter in color than the standard, and probably has more spangling than the standard. ??
