Hey guys, stopping by to say hello, my millies are wonderful, life is going well here in Maine on another beautiful spring day. So sorry to hear of your issues Doug, so very sorry.Beautiful babies guys. So far none of that "M" (swear) word that we all deal with. I wonder if it was the cockerel that we had. Either way, this cockerel that we have now is quite amazing and handsome. I'll get photos at some point.

So, here is what this little guy looked like as a new chick...

And here is what he looks like now...at almost 6 weeks:

So do you think he is going to be Blue Mille Fleur...or Blue Mottled? I think the breeder had a blue mille roo over regular mille hens. See the white tips coming in on the feathers? And his belly is white, and he's getting gold accents in his hackle feathers.

I'm curious to hear what you think!

Beau is 20 weeks old. I think he was stalking me today when I began snapping pics of him. Little goof, I could punt him into the next county, but he doesn't know that. He hasn't bitten or flogged me, but I thought it was coming today. He'd better watch his manners around here. Big Bad Beau hasn't met Big Angry Mom yet.

My bators are full and I'm about to boot all broodies. I'm finally getting millie eggs though, and going to post some for auction. Lets hope that doesn't jinx the egg production....

Hi everyone, I have a quick d'uccle question. I have 2 bantam chicks that I picked up at Big R about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I believe them to be d'uccles, but I'm anxiously awaiting the time when I can tell gender. Anyone know how old they are when I can tell gender by comb & wattle size/color?
