I agree with teddi, either plenty of hens or no hens at all. If they stay together, and have plenty of room they should be fine. Occasionally there will be one guy that's a bully, or if there are two boys that are equally matched and both want to be top dog, that can get ugly, someone needs to be willing to back down. Just raise them together and they'll be OK. I've got a gaggle of roosters together right now and there have been no problems.
