So heres what I have been working on for the last couple months. Havent posted a single pic of mine in awhile due to problems uploading pics

These Milles are from Nathowe- I got 90% hatch with 3 roos and 7 pullets! Awesome foot feathering and beards

And the other ones are blue and black mottled from ebay eggs.

Heres one from my Milles which apparently have something other than pure Mille genes running in thei blood. What would this color be?? Maybe Lemon Mille or something...........

Great photos of the babies...about that millie with another gene, is that one you hatched from me? I am working with a closed flock of mille fluers and haven't had any ever feather out like that. My birds are getting bigger beards and better feet-feathering with each generation it's exciting to see the improvements I am making in the flock. I have been culling hard and culling often.

Nathowe....That one is from my own Milles. Its a very interesting color and the only one of about 7 from my birds that colored like that. I didnt know that breeding a Mille to another Mille could create that but Im learning as this is only my second year. Hidden genes. We'll see how good chicks come out next spring when I combine mine with yours. Out of my 3 hens now Ill prob get rid of one...the one with alot of white.

I got my d'uccle home today! Meant to take pictures but totally forgot, was too excited to see how my hen reacted to another hen in her enclosure. I was surprised how tiny she is compared to my buff orp.

sorta reminds me of quail (blue at that) you can send that chick to me lol

haha to that hdowden....We'll see if I get another one to hatch that color. It does look like the "quail" look somewhat. Im actually excited to see what its gonna look like when it gets older. I think it is prob a roo but that is fine with me The others born at the same time from the same dad looked like normal Milles. There are 3 hens so maybe its just 1 that has the different gene.
