d'uccles-how do you pronounce that?

As long as everyone knows what you mean, it's all good, right? Some names are just a bit weird. Check out the wild breeds on Feathersite sometime. They have "D'Uccle" beat for difficulty of pronunciation, like these:

Sachsenhuhn
Svart Höna
Twentse Hoens
Zielononozka Kuropatwiana

Tongue twisters!

I took enough German and have it pretty fresh in the family and several years of German roomies that those look easy for me...until the last one Holy fright!!

Sounds good to me!

Just keep saying it till the person you are buying from understands it. For me, from now on, I'd just say Mille Fleur! That's what interests me.

Criminy. In my French classes, that would have been Meel-fleur (the fleur would rhyme with sure, not door) because there is no accent in the first word at all, but there's an e after the ll, so you would pronounce them, but it's one syllable. I will have to double-check with my Grandma to make sure.

You may be very correct. Never said I was very any good at French!

Plus, since High School, I've forgotten more than I ever learned!

Don't mistake: I am absolutely not certain there's any validity to what I'm guessing at all! I might've been completely mistaken. This is why Grandma is important!
