D'uccles??

[Chicken Lady Halle]

I was looking into getting some D'uccles and I was wondering about their personality and things. I would also love pictures!

They are feisty and sometimes flighty birds. They are also adorable. They can fly fairly well as far as flying chickens go. I haven't had any problems with them as far as feet feathers, and they do fine in our frigid winters. They suffer in a mixed flock so they are best kept with other bantams, though my roosters can hold their own with the bigger birds. When they were younger they kept the big roosters on the run with their attitude. The rooster are best not over handled as chicks as sometimes they try to take on their keepers when they reach puberty.
