I have five nests of eggs going right now, among 7 duck hens! 3 of our Khaki Campbell ladies are sharing one, cannot wait to see how that turns out.

My hope is to keep mothers and ducklings together in separate pens, we'll just have to see how it goes. *cross fingers*

I'm greencastle_DUCKS and I am a duck-o-holic!

I only have 11 ducks so I am twitching all the time. I'm looking for my fix. I'm sending out emails to buy more baby Swedes, and Calls. I'm also collecting Swedish eggs to hatch. I AM a duck-o-holic

Well, since everyone is showing off their duck photos, here's some of the 60 or 70 ducklings I saw this year.

That one on the right had some kind of injury, but it didn't hamper him in any way. He was swimming at eating like everyone else. They disappeared for a while, but I think I saw them again about five or six weeks later and the injury had healed.

I never saw so many ducklings as I did this year. And, they had a good survival rate in this area with about 65% which is double the average for wild ducks.

They sure were fun while they lasted!

..Yupp, definitely a duckaholic.

(PS, that's 53 ducks, in my car, during our duck rescue. We now only have 11 ducks.. And 17 geese. And 30ish chickens.)
