No, I didn't freak out when my cat walked and sat on the incubator buttons.
I make a loop of duct tape and put it on things I don't want the cats on.
Mine were always sitting on the frog terrarium or the aquarium or stupid stuff like that. So, I started putting strips of duck tape sticky side up on things. The duct tape would stick to them and scare the beejezes out of them. Super funny too. :gig
Everytime I yell at them or chase them off it's just a game to them, and they come back to do it later.

I used to duct tape foil to stuff I didn't want the cat messing with. I need to just skip the foil and use the tape instead!

I'll try that.
My Dad has the same reaction to cotton balls.
He. Will. Not. Touch. Them.

What type of geese? I'm waiting on some 6 Pilgrim babies from Bell's Conservancy. They will be my first geese. Also keeping my eyes open for Pomeranian Geese, in show or breeder quality, but they are really hard to find!
I have three Toulouse and three Sebastopols, one male and two females of each breed. The eggs are from my Toulouse girls, since my Sebbie girls are too young. Here’s a picture of my three Toulouse and my Sebbie male.

AI was detected in a red-shouldered hawk in the county next to mine, and I'm having a really hard time deciding what to do about it all. It's like option A is rehoming as many birds as possible so that I can cut the size of their pen down and be able to afford netting it off or option B is to keep up what measures we've been doing and wait to see what happens :/ I love all my birds, but there are a few that I would be just absolutely devastated to lose.

We love watching these videos. :lau

One of my cats had an injury on his side, and I would put medicine on it. It would start to heal, then he’d rip it open again. I thought I could put a little wrap of vet wrap around him. NOT! :lau

How big are your ducks? Hawks never bothered my big chickens and big ducks. But they are hell on bantams and call ducks. Also the size of the hawk matters. The young ones usually won’t go after things that are bigger than themselves. But one never knows….
