He sure is.

I've never seen him mate, though. 🧐
Do you know how old he is? Out of 4 drakes, my Pekin was next to last to mate and my Jumbo Pekin was last. There was a significant gap of time between my Cayuga and Mallard drakes mating successfully (with the hens 😂) and my Jumbo Pekin even attempting. Oddly enough, all the hens loved the jumbo Pekin most. He is such a handsome guy!!! He sure landed perfectly after needing a new home. I love this 😍

No clue. The lady my husband got him from had no idea either. 🤷‍♀️
I'm hoping he gets the idea soon because my husband doesn't want to keep them if none of our pekin eggs are fertile.

Egbert in the middle. It's his third day with the other ducks, he's getting along with them, kinda.

I like a shallow foot tub for soaking my Pekins feet, Epsom salts, and vet wrap for bandaging. I normally use the store brand triple antibiotic ointment because I use so much of it. The brand name stuff gets expensive, but I am a bit heavy handed with the stuff. Some 2X2's for padding and keeping the ointment off the vet wrap and bandaids for securing the 2x2. A lot of people use duct tape but I've never had much luck with it. I prefer to just change it when it gets wet.
Okay, thank you. I wasn't thinking so much along the lines of getting brand name things, I just like to know what I need to get so that way I am not getting the wrong thing. I don't really know what 2x2s are. Are they a type of bandaging material or something like that? And triple antibiotic that does not have pain reliever right? And photos of how you wrap there feet and whatever else would be great. Should I separate her from everyone else at any point while I am treating her bumblefoot?

Gorgeous girls!!! I can’t get over their perfect "eye make up". My daughter and I have been so curious about Muscovy sounds. So the hens squeak throughout their laying season?
It’s something I’ve noticed that mine do when they are laying or getting close to doing so. Mine usually “trill” through the winter, then start to squeak/chirp when spring approaches. When they start laying and approach their usual summertime constantly broody state, the squeak/chirp becomes much louder and …well… their message of “stay away from me, I’m a fierce mama to be!” Becomes clear.

A 2X2 is a nonstick cotton square used for wound care. They come in so many sizes but I have found that 2X2 or 4X4 work wonderfully. The pain reliever theory was tested and proven to not be as problematic as originally thought. I personally like the plain stuff better, but that's just an opinion. Oh yes, I forgot about clear Iodine. I haven't used it, but I will next time I treat for bumblefoot. I will try to get pictures tomorrow when I wrap Honey Boo Boos foot. Her foot is wrapped as a preventative measure, but I wrap it the same way. There are also some articles here on BYC's that cover wrapping duck feet. I have been wanting to get pictures of the way I do Honey Boo Boos so now I have an even better reason. Some wrapping styles work better for different folks and different ducks. I just tried multiple ways and found this works best for us

Ya, I wouldn't spend that much on this little dude. He's kinda far away so I'm thinking I'll wait. I have a place for them now tho😄🙌
Not that I need him, lol But where is this little guy located?
My pastel drake has got the be the horniest of all my drakes. He is something else!!
My little drake hasn't figured it out yet I don't think. So far no development in the eggs I've put in the incubator. He gets really excited and chases when there are puddles, but I haven't actually seen him catch them or do the deed. Just excited zoomies and muttering.
