Yeah, I'm still considering, I've seen worse looking for more expensive, and he's really got no bad faults. If I can find a good hen to go with him I'll snatch him up real quick.
Personally I like the pastel drake. His head color is good, his chest is nice claret color and looks full and decently solid. I think bills always look longer or shorter in pics and need to be seen in person or in a pic taken with very good perspective. One pic of his neck ring looks better than the other pic, so that's kinda hard to judge also. But for $15, you could do much worse, imho.

I'd get a nice blue fawn hen for him. Then you would get more pastel and blue fawn offspring.
Or if you get a grey hen, all the offspring will be blue fawn.

My pastel drake has got the be the horniest of all my drakes. He is something else!!

It may not look like much in the picture, but someone made a fine nest this morning, the first one of the season. No egg yet, but I usually see nest building for a week or so prior. Matilda, my tiny Rouen, is my first suspect as she is the youngest, although my Muscovies have been squeaking a bit, so it could be one of them. Photos are of the nest, along with the suspects + one of most definitely innocent Daphne. Stay tuned! 5A2DD5EB-5590-4586-BDB2-ABB56BBE5E34.jpeg

@AngelinaThePekin8 that is a huge egg! My Pekin hen, Honey Boo Boo, has been laying so many soft eggs lately. I've started her on regular doses of Citracal every other day. I finally got an egg that had some shell, but still not a regular shell. I often wonder if her recurring infection and treatment with so many antibiotics has anything to do with her shell gland issues. She has laid some odd eggs in the past though. Aren't you treating for bumblefoot now? How's it going?

Gorgeous girls!!! I can’t get over their perfect "eye make up". My daughter and I have been so curious about Muscovy sounds. So the hens squeak throughout their laying season?
