So precious! Congratulations! I just love your flock so much! Is the drake that one duckling was following, their daddy? The drake looked a little worried at the beginning but quickly warmed up. They're all so sweet! It looks like some of the hatches from this year have added a lot of gorgeous colors to the flock.

Thanks! I’d say there are a few daddys in there.
Her main drake is my only pastel drake, he is behind her in the middle of the video, but he is not very aggressive when other drakes try to mate her. There is one little brown duckling, so I’m not sure who fathered that one. It’s funny watching how the ducklings will follow behind anyone until she quacks them back to her. I guess like a kid walking in a crowd of adults, looking at all the legs wondering where they are supposed to be.

I'm probably going to be wrong, but I wanted to give it a shot. Is Butter in front? Lidus right behind her slightly to the right and Jason over to the side? Flip with the dark head? Roxy in front? Puddles in the very back? I don't have a lot of confidence in my guesses

Lidus is almost always front and center. She loves food the most. Jason has really filled out. He has quite chubby cheeks now. Probably why you mistook him for Lidus.

The ducklings are huge. I'm leaving them this weekend, they're going triple in size while I'm gone I know it!

Is it likely I'll get blue eggs from them? They're Hoovers origins. I really would be absolutely thrilled if I were one of those duck keepers who got a basket full of duck-egg-blue eggs!

It's hot outside, I gave them a fresh pool of water and some frozen peas. They would rather shove their faces into a mud puddle though

I was able to make out Puds neck (or lack of) from afar I usually get her and Roxy mixed up. So who's cheeks and chinssss are more full, Lidus or Jason? Do you still see Butter and Roxy together a lot or do they hang with any and everyone? Butter was right up there with Lidus in the video I watched last so that's another reason for the mix up, and Jason had to be called over for his next pea. His cheeks are amazing! He's going to be a Lidus twin

They grow so fast, don't they? Are you able to tell each little duckling from the other? Whenever we had 3 Pekin ducklings, we had to just guess with 2 of them. Drake was called Honey Boo Boo on many occasions and vice versa. Reggie had a deformity, and besides his boot, he was smaller because of his first week of life without any individual attention or anyone even knowing he was deformed. In TSC defense, they had tanks full of ducklings so I imagine it wasn't spotted easily, plus this particular location kept their ducklings in the back so the customers wouldn't have noticed it either. I named each of my Porcelain Aztec's as they hatched. I quickly found that I had no idea of each duckling. I have one that was positioned in the shell in a really odd way and there's absolutely no way he would have hatched on his own. I now have an Aztec that's just completely crooked and I suspect it was the malpositioned duckling. I had the most wonderful experience in talking with Mrs. Holderread (such an amazing few minutes that I had to contact my newest buddy to be in awe with me) recently and she feels the same. I can quickly and easily tell him apart. The others I have to look at bills and/or coloring and/or size.

Jason has the cheeks, Lidus has the chins.

Oh Butter and Roxy still hang together. Lidus stays with them. Flip and Pud are always together with Jason as a third wheel. Rona follows them all around and places herself in the mix a lot like a mom being chaperone at an 8th grade dance.
