Wow, @HeatherKellyB, what a day. I'm so sorry for the loss of your rooster. That's hard! But what an amazing miracle about your dad getting a kidney!! So pleased to hear it. Will say a prayer for your dad's surgery.

Both of the chubs in one pic I needed this! Today has been an emotional day. I lost my favorite rooster, who's death was due to my negligence and on the other side of things, my Dad finally got the call that a kidney has come available for him after 7 years of dialysis. He was rolled back to the OR at 5:30pm for what's predicted to be at least a 5 hour surgery. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for some sweet adorable pictures.

Here's Pigweed's before and after molts. The girl is 6.5, molting is not new to her. Usually her winter outfit has a few "fall colors." But this year she went all out! In the summer she is always mostly white with black flecks.

That is wonderful news about your dad. I pray his surgery goes well. My husband had 2 kidney transplants, and was waiting on a third when he passed. They are long surgeries for sure. I am sure he will do just fine through the procedure. More prayers for afterward that his body accepts it without being too silly.

Thank you. I am so sorry for your loss. This kidney is hep positive and had suffered some trauma, so he'll have to continue dialysis until it "wakes up" which they expect to happen in a few days to a week or so.
