I think we have a match made in heaven... Donald paired up with his ducky (that was quick!), they waddle around together and the chooks keep to themselves. There's a bit of quacking, clucking and chattering going on in the mornings when I let them out and in the evenings just before the sun goes down. Complete silence during the night. This morning she let out two long loud quacks when I startled her, otherwise she quacks quietly and vocalises less frequently than Donald. Don't think I'll get any noise complaints from neighbours for that... and then there's always the option of bribing them with some delicious eggs.
Can someone tell me if the head swinging in dipping motion is some sort of courting ritual they do? They were both doing it this morning by the water bowl. It looked more than just morning face washing.
