Duck attack

Yep. I am experiencing this right now. You can wear gloves and boots and long-sleeved shirts and jeans to kind of prevent the pecks. How old is he? If he's a year or younger he's probably getting new hormones and stuff, therefore, he cannot control himself. This is totally normal and like @21hens-incharge said it's breeding season. He will slow down a little bit in the fall. Especially if you only have one female he will be ultra protective rather than having 4-6 females which will make him busy with mating etc. Don't worry, he will slow down soon.

He is ten months. He has a one female duck. Just like you say. Thank you so much. I am relieved

I agree, there was another thread someone posted the other day about their drake biting. Mine just turned a year old and OMG is he full of himself. Fortunately he has 4 girls to keep him entertained but I can tell they are even getting annoyed with him. Like a teenage boy on steroids. I had to sit and hold him down until he chilled out so he will hopefully learn that I am the top ducky mama. I'm not sure he is quite getting it but got to keep on keepin on!

While breeding season is an explanation for the behavior of the drake, you should not tolerate it! You are the flock leader and the most powerful drake!
Next time when he charges at you, step forward, put your hand on his back and pin him down to the ground. He will struggle, he might try to bite you, but don't let go for ~30 seconds, then let him go. In the duck's world you have just dominated him and proven that you are the stronger drake. Repeat this until he accepts it.
I had to do this several times with Donald, my larger drake, before he stopped charging at me and my wife.

My little drake will be 4 months old on Sunday. He has 6 girls (see avatar). He must be a slow maturer because he's not being like that at all, in fact he's very sweet and is becoming more tame and will come to me now.

All 6 girls got in the pool last night after I cleaned it and he just stood there and watched them go crazy in the pool. I was getting worried about him because I want fertile eggs but @Miss Lydia assured me he will come around. I guess they all have a different timetable to do things kinda like kids do.
