I have a year old female Pekin duck that got attacked today by something, possibly raccoon, fox, coyote, owl, not exactly sure. They free-range during the day & wander down to the creek in the woods behind our place. I found her & got her home & cleaned up the best I could. Have sprayed the beak with vetrimycin and have her in a kennel inside the run so she's closer to the male. She's drinking normally, which surprised me. Is there anything else I should be doing?

Besides keeping the wound clean and her water fresh there isn’t much else to do but wait and see.
****One of the injured ducks I had, had puncture wounds on its neck. It had a hard time holding up its neck and drinking so I mixed water with its food and made it into a mash and that helped it eat. You can’t leave it out for too long as it goes bad. I think this might help since her beak is injured. Also if she won’t eat try feeding her raw chicken eggs. I read that this helps with ducks that won’t eat.
Best of luck please keep us updated!

This is the only visible injury, which has me baffled there's no more. I've got pedialyte now, which I put in her water. And I'll go tomorrow to get the probiotic & electrolyte packets.
I read about putting 2 T. ACV in a gallon water also for her to drink. Is that a good idea?
She loves to swim in the kiddie pool, so I'm thinking of putting that in the run tomorrow to let her swim & clean herself.
Anything else I should do?

When my ducks get sick I do use organic ACV and colloidal silver. The ACV CANNOT go in a metal container. When together the metal leaks something fatal to ducks in the water.
I don’t think it would hurt to put it in but sometimes they don’t like the taste. I would only add it into her kitty pool if you decide to add it.
