Duck behavior

So I have thought that both my ducks were girls. Well today when they were in the water one of the ducks was trying to climb on top of the other and was drowning her and biting her neck. They both sound like girls and that one doesn’t have a drake feather yet. They are about 4 months.

Females will mount one another as well, just like a drake would. Mine do it all the time.

Also it isn't drowning, it is just the way ducks mate. They hold on with their mouths.
