Duck Breed Focus - Indian Runner

Thanks for all the info. :) do you think they taste good? Do most people just use them for baking?

And that would be great if you can but if not don't worry. :) now that you mention it I realize I think I heard someone say that the girls are the one that do the stereotypical duck queaking thing right? Do they do it very often?

And so what do you do then, scrape it out of the shell?

Duck eggs are fabulous! In fact, we prefer them to chicken eggs in a wide variety of foods. Pasta, French toast, pancakes, waffles, scrambled , over easy, you name it, they improve everything. You simply cannot go wrong with duck eggs.

Everyone we know who has been reluctant and a little afraid to try them has ended up in love!

It tastes pretty good. You can use it in other things, pancakes we use it in as well as French toast batter. Then we do just regular egg things like scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs, etc. Not really. Just when trying to let everyone know where she is and to call her ducklings. When you crack chicken eggs how everything just comes falling out quick, with duck eggs it falls out but part of the albumen stick to it and just give it a couple shakes or use your finger to get it to detach.

I'm glad it tastes good. :) I'm nervous to try it because I'm so used to chicken eggs lol do the regular egg things taste good with duck eggs? and wait... Not specific duck egg related but you put eggs in pancakes? But that's good if it's not too often, don't wanna bug the neighbors lol do you think it's louder than chickens? And ohh okay, that doesn't sound too bad then

Pancakes, French toast, waffles, all yep. Never heard of them in Pasta but not surprised. Ducks are quieter for the most part. Yes the regular egg things taste great with duck. At least you're not trying peafowl eggs. Though they are still good, mainly because they are in between chicken and duck.

I've never heard of it in pancakes or waffles. I know French Toast requires it but I don't recall pancakes. Sounds interesting. Really? Well maybe I should be getting ducks then! :p
But wait why? Are they gross?

Okay I asked my dad if he ever heard of eggs in pancakes and he said "yes of course!" "In PANCAKES!?" "To make real pancakes, yeah" so clearly I'm just oblivious lmao we've been just having the mix lately xD

Here's my group! This is their usual volume, but they occasionally do start yelling if they feel they've gone too long without treats (Gwaine, the chocolate brown one, is particularly entitled). I wanted runners because I love their personalities and appearance and delicious eggs and slug-eating, but I seem to have ended up with a Cayuga (mix?) drake, which is fine. Poor Zuko just looks kind of dumpy next to the wine-bottle silhouettes of the rest of the group. He and Azula (the runner-shaped black one) just popped drake feathers this week, and in this video, you can hear Azula's super manly quack!

No they're really good but when someone hears peafowl eggs I have heard people think it's too exotic and duck is exotic enough, or people act like it's bad luck to eat peafowl eggs though it's not.
