These two are about a month old... from a school hatch project and nobody seems to know what kind they are. I initially thought Moscovy because they have a large flat tail and claws on the back but I'm not sure. Neither makes much noise. The lighter one does a quiet almost quack noise. The brown one is larger than the lighter colored one (so I'm guessing male and female). They are similar in body type and the beaks seem the same shape so I guess that they are the same type of duck. Hopefully one of you duck experts can help me! Thanks!

This was right after hatch.

At 2 weeks.

And here they are at just over a month.

your post makes it kind of sound like they are Muscovy but they don't look like any Muscovy i have ever seen. and the low "quack" i believe means that they are both Lady's. (ill double check to be sure) but the darker colored one looks some what like a rouen but the strips threw me off.

Thanks for the response winteree! They are really stumping me.

The lighter one looks similar to a Welsh Harlequin.... maybe!

Still puzzled on what type of ducks... here are some new pictures. The brown one is much larger now and the lighter one is quacking a little but not often or loudly. The brown one now has sky blue patches on the wings. The lighter one is brown on the chest (very similar feather pattern and color as the brown duck) and black and brown on wings and back.

They're both mules- Muscovy x some big mallard derived breed (Rouen, pekin, etc.).
