Duck death; my girl needs a partner :'(

So sorry, I'm going through this too. The best I could find was 2 wk old ducklings. My girl is still alone and it's so sad how she goes around quacking for her lost friends. I wish you the best of luck.

Does Petfinder.org have listings in Canada? I got all the ducks I have ever owned (8) by listings for animal shelters on Petfinder. Mine were all grown ducks, but young ones. Good luck.

Im hoping to find ducklings, we tried getting a male but hes too rough, seems more like he could be a wild duck :S

I hate it when people get animals for the novelty. If they can't take care of the animal after the novelty wears off then don't get the animal at all.

We lost a duck yesterday we believe to a hawk. we have one that survived. They were both girls about 9 months old, but had been together from the start. I do have 2 month old ducklings that are outside with her, but she is still very sad and continues to call out for her friend (loudly).
Any suggestions on how to make her happy again?
Also any suggestions on how to prevent any further attacks and loss of our ducks and chickens?

Thanks for your help.

but aside from closing in the whole area your ducks live in, it's just something that can happen,. Do they have someplace where they can get under when a hawk or other pred flies over? They mourn for lost friends the same as we do so she'll be sad for a while but hopefully the ducklings will begin to bring her comfort. I have 2 roos and when they sound the warning everybody runs for cover. Spend as much time as you can with her and hopefully with time she'll begin to recover.
