Sorry guys, just so excited!!!

Finally! Brittany popped one out!!! It's about time you slacking duckie!

I went out to check this morning and in the lower box, BAM! Big white duck egg.

The only thing is it was very dirty and looked like it was pecked at. It might be cuz it's been awful rainy out and their pen is very muddy..

Do y'all think it's ok to eat? Or should I try and remove the yolk and paint it instead?

eat it lol and if u want a broody duck leave it ducks will lay thier clutch of eggs then broody and mother for that yr more often than not

It amazes me how nasty those ducks can make their eggs-sometimes mine are *really* filthy and it takes some scrubbing to get them clean!

I feel your EXCITEMENT! I just found this yesterday, in a VERY concealed area. Can't believe I missed it, but really, they just blended in so well! (And I wasn't looking for eggs.) Anyway, I know how you feel!!! I was SO Excited!!
