Duck Egg help, Again * PICS Added!*

I have no idea what colors they are........I am not a "duck person". I hatched these for my friend, and I cant get over how darn CUTE they are. the first batch went home with him last night, to his brooder. They were driving me nuts, playing in thier water and peeping up a storm. LOL. Gimmee chickens any day, lol.

I just had another pop out of its little egg, and 12 other eggs are rockin and rollin in there. I have to say, although they are not mine to keep.....I am just as happy hatching and watching these little ones as if they were mine. Ducks are just too messy for me to keep, its the whole poopy water thing, I'm sure.

Oh, yes......they are indian runners. I couldnt believe how they were trotting around last night, just a few hous old and running already.

I'm not a duck person yet either... still waiting on my firsts.
But I did research the runners as that is what I will eventually get.

We have a pond they will be living on that covers a couple of acres... so no pooy water to clean. (Other then when they are inside with the bath after they hatch)

Do take more pictures before they are all gone! I'm having fun trying to see the colors they will be.

Ok, this little tyke hatched this morning......he hatched all by himself, with NO HELP from me or anyone else. Thing is, I dont think he was ready to hatch.......see how bloody the egg was? he also is smaller than the others were, and almost 12 hours later, he is still not walking. he is soooo sleeepy- and he curles right up, like he was still in the egg. there was also quite a bit of yolk on his bum when he hatched. Hmmm. I hope little baby "Wheep wheep" makes it. His name came from the way he sounds, LOL. When I wheep to him, he wheeps back. I'm his Momma. So cute!

here is baby Wheep Wheep, doing what he does best. Running. LOL. In the second pic, I had to hold him, so you could see just how cute he is.

I feel myself falling under his little duck spell. I hope his sublings hatch soon, so he can go to his real home. I dont want ducks. I dont want ducks. I dont want ducks.............

Weep Weep is soooo cute!!! I absolutely LOVE ducks. You have to keep baby Weep Weep!!! And, as everyone knows, you can't keep just one duck, so you need to keep one of his buddies too!

They are messy and gross but they are also the best entertainment in the world. And it's kind of like having baby humans - you just get used to it. And most of the time now, the water isn't so much poopy as it is dirty. They have to have water to swallow their food, so consequently there's always food and dirt in their water.

Everyone that wants LaughingLlamma to keep Weep Weep say Woot!!!

Why do they have to be so darn cute. I want a couple so bad. Hubby won't hear of it. We actually have a duck farmer up the road and on certain days as we drive by there is a bad odor in the air and he just assumes they are stinky animals.
