I'd give it a try; especially if the crack is not all the way though the shell and membrane. Reinforce the inner crack as mentioned below and give it a try. If it doesn't work you're not out anything but a little time. I found the below online.

What would definitly kill the embryo is self etching glue, or toxic glues. Some epoxys get incredibly hot while they dry. Or covering the entire egg in glue because there is an amount of gasses that need to be passed through the shell
 
Someone in the quail section told me it was italian quail, i honestly wouldnt know, i know its not bob white tho

My first thought on seeing those pictures was OMG that fall was so bad it turned a duck into a quail!
