Lol, I know that thing. I'm from Germany and we have dishes most Americans don't know, but will enjoy eating. One of them is called rouladen. It is meat rolls made with milanesa meat. You hammer it a little bit, spread mustard on it, salt, pepper, onion, pickles and salt bacon. Roll it up and simmer in a tomato based beef bouillon and red wine. You later thicken the sauce with flour and milk. Tastes wonderful. Anyway, first time I've made it my husband asked what was in it. I told him and he said yuck. I told him he does not have to eat the pickles or bacon and just pull it out. Well I've made 4 rouladen and he ate 3. Go figure.

Mmmm....that sounds wonderful to me (all except the pickles) but I am also very picky with pickles, they have to be really good ones.

I pride myself on trying a variety of food and try to introduce my children to international food as much as possible. I think it is important to have an open mind, just because it is strange doesn't mean it won't be your new favorite food. My kids were eating sushi at 3 yrs old, making other ppl turn colors...but they LOVE it!
I'm going to have to look up a rouladen recipe now.

BTW: My dad lived in Germany for a few years (he was Army) and loved it, he said he had the BEST food and drinks there...
