Duck eggs day 21 Air cell photos and Incubation pictures

Yes I would cool once a day
I just lift my lid off and set my alarm for 10 mins
I do this with all my eggs
The moms get off the nest to eat drink poo and forge
With ducks they also swim
This just copies mom cooling and wetting her belly
I think that baby will be fine :)
Thanks! I did it this morning. Lifted the lid, cooled 10 minutes, sprayed, and put the lid back on.
I saw a few more wiggling eggs. 7 days to go

It’s finally day 21! I randomly candled some of the eggs and marked their air cells. On average, the Runners have larger air cells. The other ones, I think some are still too small. The incubator is dry, humidity 39-47%.

The poor egg with the question mark is the one I was worried about, that looked like it had clots. But it looks normal now. It’s getting really difficult to candle them because the eggs are mostly dark inside

The runner ones look like they should
Yours are a bit small but if the egg is filling in it should be okay
They do griw really fast the few days before hatch

@New duck mommy 2021
When do you raise humidity and lower temp for hatching?
Most sources say to do it at lockdown on day 25, but I read the incubation “sticky” post here on the duck forum and he said he only raises the humidity and lowers temp when the ducklings externally pip. I’m trying to decide which to do! Day 25 is Sunday so I still have time

Thanks!

Sorry to keep posting so many air cell photos, I’m obsessed! But oh wow, look at the change in these air cells! First picture is a Runner, 2nd is one of mine, last picture is one of mine. It is so far behind in air cell size ! But I see movement and healthy veins. Fingers crossed!!

I never lower my temp I do raise humidity once I see the first internal pip
I never follow day 25 unless the 3 signs are there
I like to go by my eggs
I find I have better hatches when doing that
