Duck eggs near Santa Cruz Ca?

My husband is allergic to chicken eggs, but I read somewhere that a lot of people who are allergic to chicken eggs aren't to duck eggs. We have ducks that haven't started laying yet, but he really wants to know if he is or isn't, the suspense is too much I was wondering if anyone has any duck eggs nearby we could buy/try? I live in Corralitos which is really close to Santa Cruz Ca. Thanks!!

Hello! I have family that lives in Soquel and Watsonville...and used to be on a lovely piece of property in Corralitos...such a lovely part of California!

Check out Metzer Farms (in Monterey) for duck eggs http://www.metzerfarms.com/
Their fresh eggs look a bit pricey, but if all else fails, at least they could perhaps be an option for you?

Yes, it is definately beautiful here, we love it, our own private slice of heaven. I have checked out Metzer, it is actually where I got our current ducks hatching eggs. It is way to expensive though, for eating. I was just hoping someone might be in the area who sells their backyard duck eggs. The hunt continues...
