hi there, new to ducks.

I have 9 cayuga eggs in the incubator for my 2nd hatch of them...first hatch they pipped and hatched day 29...this 2nd hatch they have pipped and are rocking on day 21!!!

Has this happened before to anyone?? I'm almost wondering if there was a mistake with the breeder and I got chicken eggs :th

Incubation humidity has been 50-55%, temperature 36.6-37.3 C

Help! Are they going to be ok? :hit

Here is a photo of the eggs @Pyxis

The one egg I had that was piped (also the one that was slightly different than any of the others) has now hatched a chick... ahhhhk! :barnie

I am hoping that the one is the only mistake and somehow got accidentally put in, with the other 8 eggs remaining (none have piped but have rocked) are still
Cayugas!! :fl

Is it possible for duck eggs to rock 8 days before hatch date??

Yep, I suspected the early hatcher was going to be a chick, 21 days is just way too early for any ducklings, lol. The rest look like they could be duck eggs, so those hopefully will hatch when you expect them to :)

I was thinking that too, timing was too perfect.

Looks like the one is a chicken and the rest are still incubating. Fingers crossed for a great hatch still!
