Duck eggs pipped but not hatching! HELP!!!

I've got 20 duck eggs in the incubator, day 27, I've got 4 pipped for more than 24 hours and a couple more for less time than that. But no hatching other than an assist I did that the duckling was dried to the edges of the membrane (it won't survive). Is there something I'm doing wrong that is keeping them from hatching on out? Humidity was at about 30% during incubation, increased to about 55% at lockdown.... Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated!!!! Is there something I can do safely to help?

Please tag anyone that can help (I forget who the duck hatching experts are).

Thanks!!!
I posted to @DuckLady who is a “staff member” with 13 years experience, asking her to check out your thread. Hopefully you can get some answers! Thank you for your post! I’m sure I’ll get A LOT of useful information from it, as my ducks are going to hatch within the next week (I believe: My egg’s mama duck got taken by a fox and I’m not sure how long she had already been sitting on her nest in my garden before I “took them in”).

Usually mine take about 72 hours from external pip. Ducklings take forever to hatch, they are not like chickens or quail from my experience.

I feel like your humidity is good and that you probably did everything good since you are not new to hatching eggs.

They are probably just taking forever because that's what ducklings do. They drive me absolutely bonkers.

when my ducks where hatching I was going crazy waiting for them. I would hold them and tell them that they needed to hurry up before I go completely nuts. I always end up helping them hatch by the time they reach 36 to 48 hours. By then they are done and ready to come out. I also do a safety hole on them so that they don't run out of oxygen. It seems to help. I have some such eggs a under a hen that are working on making there way into this world at this moment.

@FortCluck do you put rescue air holes in your duck eggs once they've pipped? Or just sit back and go crazy waiting on them to hatch or not? :barnie
I just sit back and don't touch them...

The only time I've ever intervened is when one of them did not zip after 48 hours and it was because it was malpositioned.

That was probably the most stressful assist I had ever had to do.

I usually just sit on my hands or try to find something else to do besides stare at the incubator like a crazy person 🤪

I wasn't even supposed to be hatching ducks and now I am hatching them and selling them 🙄

My husband just bought me a new incubator yesterday and I told him today that I wanted to give up on selling and he told me no 😑

We have a friend that wants us to hatch duck eggs for him again so that is why I got the incubator, but ever since we got it yesterday we have had crazy orders.
