Duck eggs super sticky

So he’s doing better. Still trying to get on his feet. My humidity was most definitely off. I have three more babies that are still in their eggs. After seeing the guy that I had to help strangle I opened up one of the eggs and sure enough they were shrink wrapped. I got a hole in the membrane and all can breath but I’m not sure what to do now. How do I know if they are ready to come out and if I need to help them?? Inner pep was 48 hours ago this evening. Should I try and help them? There’s no way they’re getting out alone and I’m just scared.

What do you have them wrapped in? That's strange..
If that's wet towels get it off. That will draw out moisture from the eggs and do the opposite reaction your needing.

It’s not it’s a dry paper towel damped on one side and then wrapped in a plastic bag to retain the moisture? Should I take them out of the paper towel and bag?? I put bacterium on their membranes.

Agreed. It May just take some extra time to get fully on its feet.
I had some super sticky ones last year. . lots of nasty goo inside. I think my incubator temps were way off.
None of mine that were like that hatched. So. .yours at least made it out! That's a good plus. Hopefully it finished absorbing and will be fine.

What should I do with these guys? I’m so nervous. The bottom one and one on the left are super sticky.
How can they breathe like that?
their beaks aren’t in the plastic. All three of their beaks are in the air.

You took them out of the incubator?
I'm not understanding what you have going on with the wrapping there.
It does look like you have their bills free so that's good. You will probably have to assist them the rest of the way. . generally yawning and a chewing motion means they are still absorbing yolk.
Did they externally pip on their own? How many hours ago if so?
