These were dropped off on your front porch? So they're some sort of wild duck, or domestic duck? Any ideas? Ever find the third baby? How are they? PICTURES!

UPDATE:

Third duck still not found...so he was left overnight, and I don't have much hope. Other two are doing fantastic, getting along great with the chicks. I've only got one heat lamp so I put small wire mesh in the middle of the box to seperate them, but they will snuggle each other through the wire <3

The store I got the chicks from don't carry stuff for ducks, so they've got the unmedicated duck food on order for me, hopefully will be here in a few days, so I'm hoping the duckies make it that long.

Computer still won't read my camera card, so no pictures yet...I'm trying to find another way to upload them. X.X

PICTURE UPDATE!!!

These are my Chicks.
The white one is a roo(no idea what he is), i've got a brown one(no idea what she is), the black and silver one I know is an Aracouna Or however you spell it. And I think the gold girl is A Red Star.

Here's one of the ducks.

Here's the two of them together

I named one of them Columbus because he/she is ALWAYS the one getting into trouble by escaping XD

I would get the other two duckys in a crate and go around on your property and let them peep for it.
I would feel so bad if I found a dead ducky under my bushes.
Although I am one to keep looking until the duck was found and employ my kids and hubbie. But that's just me. I feel guilty about things like that. That's one of my faults.
You may have done that, but I don't know. So if you have great!
I am not bashing you, I just have not read anything in regards to that.
Anyway, Cute duckys! They are so fun to raise. You will enjoy them for a long time.
Good Luck !

I have a 5 month old, so I can't really employ her, but I did force my hubby to go into the bushes to look for it. I also crawled around through the blackberry bushes/cobwebs/dense trees looking for it. I brought out the other ducklings to peep for it, but we just couldn't hear it anymore. It was well into 11 o'clock pm by the time we gave up...I felt really bad leaving the poor thing, but I don't think it lasted long in our forest...I know we've got foxes, racoons and hawks prowling around...let alone my kitties X.X Although I do believe that if my cats found it, they would have brought it back. My cat Salem did that with one of my lost baby bunnies a few years back. Don't worry, the bunny was still alive. Scared, but alive.

Those look just like one of our new ducklings. I don't know what kind it is, it's from a mystery egg from a mixed flock of ducks.

They don't look more than a day or two old. They're quite tiny, and ducks tend to grow very fast. Ours are about three days old (I know, weird that I can't remember!) and are already bigger than yours.

A good waterer for them is an empty 2 liter plastic soda bottle. Take the label off, and then at about the height of the ducklings' back, cut an oval hole that's big enough for their head, but not big enough for their body. Fill the bottle with water to just below the hole. I made one with two holes, since we have two ducklings. Dunk the beak of one of them in one of the holes, and they'll quickly figure it out. I made the holes a little too large and one duckling got into the bottle, but got himself back out before I could help him.

An excellent bedding under them at this stage is puppy pee pads. They absorb all that lovely water the ducklings like to splash around. Keeps the smell waaay down!

Ducklings are so cute and so funny! Enjoy watching them. Too bad someone dumped them, but they sure picked the right place to dump them, and now you have some free ducks!
