I candled the chicken eggs in the bator last night (they are due on Monday). 5 of the 18 were clears, but that wasn't a surprise. I suspected those weren't developing the last time I candled, but left them a while longer to be sure. The other 13 are very full though, and I got to see one move!That was SO cool. I am forcing myself to keep hands off of the duck eggs. I don't want to overhandle them and risk compromising the babes.
Oh no.Well doesn't look like she is going to send me my eggs today either so that means I have to wait another week to even get eggs!
Oh no.I'd be tearing out my hair and biting off my nails at this point. Hopefully they'll be sent soon.

Well lockdown is over for this batch of chicks 4/4 alive and kicking =) when I get my two year old down for her nap, I will have a chance to candle my duck eggs without "help""help" think I'm/they are on day 8, can't wait to see. Then tonite more chicken eggs go on lockdown, finally got my little giant styro bator regulated after power outage just on time for yesterdays/last nights hatch my first 100% hatch rate =)
