Yay duckies!e So happy they are hatching so well. It also gives me hope that as long as I don't screw up the incubation I'll get some babies too.
Speaking of babies, several of my bantam eggs are rocking and wiggling a little. Do they usually only do this when they are preparing to pip? I didn't even know that bantams sometimes hatch at 18 days rather than 21 until I read about the surprise cochin.Good thing I have the brooder mostly ready for habitation already!
Okay, good to know. Thanks! I first noticed the rocking yesterday and thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.Not sure if its the same with them as ducks but the ducks "rock" and that is supposed to be them wiggling around to get into position to hatch. Mine would rock typically 2 days before hatching.
