Haha awesome. My 43 bob whites have started hatching too.

So trying not to get too ahead of myself here. BUT the two black/white ducklings that just hatched...well they looked a little dirty, so did the one that I thought was all white. WELL it turns out its not dirt, it's dark coloring because they are TRIS!!! Black, buff, and white!!! Then the one that I thought is all white is buff and white!!'

Oooo. I really like the tri colors I have seen. They are like a calico! So pretty!

I woke up to a nice surprise this morning. One egg was pipped when I checked and it zipped and popped out in no time. Such a cutie. Apparently it's strident "help I'm all alone" cries has incited a riot because 2 more little eggs have pipped now and one of the big eggs that isn't due till tomorrow or the next day (depending if you count the day you set them).

I hope the big one is ok getting started a little early.

I also candled my duckies last night and it looks like they are developing nicely so far.

Yay that's exciting to hear hope more come out for u!

Okay, I know you aren't "supposed" to take the littles out of the bator until they are all done hatching... But I just couldn't stand it any longer. The lonely, forlorn cries of the gung ho first hatcher were more than I could bear.

So now she is tucked in my shirt against my chest and is much happier (and quieter) now. Every now and then she pops her head out and starts peeping and I talk to her and she snuggles back in to sleep again.
