Mine are in a little giant incubator with a turner! until lockdown then I move them out of the turner and laythem down!
To make that a little more clear, you want them in the same position all the way to the end. So if they are laying down through turning you want them laying down in lockdown. If they are upright in a turner, you want them upright during lockdown until hatch. I learned that the hard way :/ glad I bought the storeys guide to breeding ducks. I asked several breeders too and they agreed changing the position will kill off most of the hatch because the ducks position for hatch throughout so they need their position to stay consistent![]()
That's very smart! I will rig something up before lock down similar to that. I noticed today if I lay a finger on the eggs I can feel them kick! Incubating is my new addition.
Today is day 20 my duck eggs have been incubating. I just candled and noticed one of my Pekin eggs has these weird dark clumps floating around the air cell. The duckling is still moving around. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?? I'm a little worried
