How fun! None of my packages of eggs arrived this morning. Grrr. What color of Calls is everyone setting?

I got an assortment could be any of these: Crested Grey, Snowy, Swedish, Chocolate, Pied, Silver, Pastel, White, Buff, and Khaki. Of the seven eggs; 5 are whiteish and 2 are green!

I did not know that Calls came with crests! How cool is that? I'm dying to hatch out some calls! I wish Taffy would start laying!

I have a ton in the incubator!

I have 7 welsh harlequin eggs from holderread lines going into lockdown this sunday.
I have 3 pilgrim goose eggs incubating. Going into lockdown april 5th.
also, 5 rouen eggs, set on march 18th, and 6 set today (march 22nd) and 3 Welsh set on 17th.

So, I have 21 duck eggs in, and 3 goose.



Alsi, im setting some almkst every week.

Does the color of the egg give any indication of the color of the hen that laid it?

My eggs could be any of : Grey, Snowy, Magpie, Pastel or butterscotch.

Not that I can see. I can usually tell which of my hens laid which egg, but that's a size and shape thing and having seen who in the pen layed what. Or whether there is a single hen in the pen, or 2. I don't put more than trio's together so it's not too difficult for me. But no, color doesn't help as far as I can see, really.

ETA: I'm sorry...I know that doesn't have anything to do with hatching ducks, lol.

5 Holderread's Runners mixed colors (from work)
2 Silkie ducks (from work)
12 Saxony ducks (eBay)
14 Penciled Runners (BYC'er)
7 Rouen ducks (BYC'er)

It's a crammed full incubator.

Second incubator at nine days:

12 Black East Indies ducks (BYC'er)
2 surprise goose (from work)
28 Holderread's Runner (from work)

If I have a good hatch, I'm going to have to move out of my house and let the ducks have it!
