Duck Hatch-A-Long ~ Wanna Join?

Two of the 7 saxony eggs are pipped and only day 27. Trying not to count my ducks before they hatch (but that is sooo hard!!)

Ok, It's been a while since I've done ducks and I forget how much faster chicks hatch. But, should I be worried. One of the first pips last night has taken 24 hours to get about 30 to 50 percent "zipped" I can see movement in the slit/hole and made a little progress in the last two hours, the other pip made minor process, and a third is pipped. I'm not an "open the incubator" sort and this little brinsea has done well. What do you think? wait another 12? 24? realize right now is 28 days so they are early to on time. Sigh... waiting is so hard

Uhh they are so cute, my muscovy duck went broody so i plan to move the eggs out to her and allow them to hatch naturally.

<* Sorry guys, meant to post my rant in another thread. Carry on. *>

Having trouble getting the humidity up in the new hatcher. Suggestions? I have eggs due for lockdown tomorrow, so today is troubleshooting day.

What are you using for humidity? i.e. sponges, bowls, pans
