one of my two ducklings was recently injured by a pet. No bites or deep cuts but more of a blunt injury situation. Checked her over and she’s got no broken bones and can walk, chirp, breathe, and drink water. However she doesn’t have much interest in her feed. I tried pulverizing some and mixing with water for her and she still seems uninterested. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated.

How long has it been since she has eaten? Can you weigh her? Can you feel her keel and see how she compares to this chart?

Have you tried tempting her with some really delicious treats like live mealworms?

Sometimes when they are hurting, they are not interested in eating. You can try to wait it out until she is feeling better, but if she gets too underweight you may have to either tube feed her until she is feeling good enough to eat on her own again, or put her down. Is tube feeding something you would be comfortable attempting if you were taught?

@Jon412 how is the duckling? As said above, if not eating you could tube feed and there are lots of people qualified to teach you.
