We have 5 ducks that appear to be Pekin (all white) and one possibly runner (white and tan/beige). We recently hatched 12 ducklings. They're about 5-6 weeks old now. 6 of them were black and yellow and now have brown on their chest and a pretty grayish (or brownish?)/white feathers on their back. They don't look anything like the parents. Can't find any other pictures that look like what we have. Just curious what other breed of duck might be mixed in. Dad (our only male) is a Pekin (or at least looks like a Pekin). I've posted pics of the parents, and the ducklings, both currently and when they were about a week old. Thanks!

They're so different from the parents. Seems kinda weird... but we're still fairly new to this. We got the parents last spring at a local farm store. Got them at about a week old. They were all plain yellow ducklings. As they grew up, 4 of them look like full Pekin and we just kinda guessed about the other one being a runner. They were obviously more mixed than what we thought. We did get two crested ducks. They're all super cute.

Ya. Runners usually have long legs & that one doesn’t really seem to have very Long legs. But does look like a runner . What kind of incubator did you use? I’m looking to buy one lol

I'm not sure what type of incubator... my husband is a chemistry professor and has an incubator in his lab. He took the eggs to work and kept them in the incubator there. Lol. It apparently is a good one, because other than 1-2 duds early on, all 13 of the eggs he had in there hatched. All but one survived.
