Duck identity

    So these little ones were at my local feed store with just the name ducklings. Can anyone identify them? Definitely gonna be a handful one bit me already 0329182100.jpg

    They are rouens. Pretty birds.

    Thanks :) I had looked at pics of them before. Was hoping they wouldn't look like wild ducks lol. Got a pond I was hoping they would be able to go to thats in between houses. Don't want them shot

    I can understand that concern! Is the pond on your property? Hopefully someone won’t be shooting if it’s close to your house.:fl

    Its in what we considered dead mans land. No one knows who's it is lol. If you face one way no houses go that way for miles. I think I'm the only one crazy enough to shoot in that part.

    Maybe you could get zip ties or bands to put on their legs once full grown. Might not help too much, but maybe someone would see them.

    We got guinea fowl that run loose around here that don't have them. I'll look up bands for the ducks though

    Get orange bands they may stick out more. But Rouens look like mallards in size Xlarge so if you have duck hunters around :oops:
