Duck issue please help

That's one of the links I posted at the beginning of the thread. Suggested treatment is ivermectin or moxidectin.
Yes bought ivermectin and some other topical poultry ointment. Hope for the best. She is very active, social and eating and drinking. I will try the treatment and if I don’t see improvement in 3 days then I will put her down.

Oh my god it looks like a monster.

Is the bird misrable and in pain?
She doesn’t act like she is in pain but I’m she is uncomfortable and that’s why I’m on this thread and I have a team of bird specialists on it as well. It came on fast. Total 14 days from loss of hair to this. In the beginning was just around her neck so I thought Maybe the male duck was being aggressive but he’s not even trying to mate her and the 14 days later out of control. I have 8 chickens all
Hens no issues and the male duck no issues.
I bought some ivermectin tonight and now I need to figure out if I try to catch her every time
For treatment or do I stick her in a dog kennel
And treat.

I also keep a flock record of all preventative measures and illnesses none so far thankfully so can track problems and intervene accordingly before get out of control. Some things if highly contagious or quickly spread to flock may need coop/run clean out and treatment for entire flock to prevent spread. Just things to think about.
I do that as well. I’ve had my chicken flock for 5 years and the ducks for 3 years. They get coops
Cleaned weekly and they get there area sprayed monthly. This flock is so taken care of people are amazed.

Well we’ll all be
Pulling for her. Glad to hear she’s otherwise doing well. It’s kinda scary to look at but so? It may take a lot of dedication to treat her I’m
Happy you’re going to give it a chance. Personally I would love to see updates on her. Her condition fascinated me I guess because when I was younger I worked for a vet and I was the one giving treatments to a little Boston Terrier....anyways you might want to put away the kiddy pool OR allow her time in the water then treat her skin and put the pool away.
Best wishes. Keep us posted

Not sure how you plan to apply the ivermectin, but I had success with chicken leg mites by mixing the ivermectin pour-on in a plastic baggie with a spoonful of Vaseline. Just squish it together, it doesn’t really mix. But helped me with application.
