Duck lame after thigh injection

Hello! I am a first time duck owner, I have two 4 week old ducklings that are juat getting their feathers. They started sounding raspy and hoarse over the last week, so a couple of days ago I did some research and thought it might help to give them antibiotic injections for 5-7 days so they wouldnt continue to get worse and die. However, when I gave the first one the first injection in the thigh, I got a drop of blood back, so I stopped and gave it in a differemt part of the thigh. But immediately afterwards, she acted lame in that leg, and doesnt want to use it, and now mostly lies down. It seems weaker than the other leg. Is this a nerve injury? And will it get better? It has been two days

At 4 weeks, the rasping noise was/is most likely just their drake voices coming in.

Vent sexing has to be done at a few days old to prevent harming the chick/duckling. And vent sexing is not always 100% accurate.

They are welsh harlequins and they had the light colored beaks when i bought them. The boys have dark beaks

Ahh, ok. Totally forgot about auto sexing breeds, to be honest.
What are you feeding them? And is the leg swollen or hot at all?
