Duck leg/foot pain relief options?

I'd say only a vet should do something like lancing. Does it feel like fluid in the swollen areas?

I agree. To be completely honest with you, I don't know how it feels now. I always look at it every time I see her, but I haven't touched it in a while. I am so afraid of hurting her. I'll try to touch it as I'm going to see her in a few minutes.

Examine it real good just gently palpating to feel for fluid or if there is swelling like injured muscle under that skin.

Unfortunately I didn't see your reply before I went to check on Honey. The joint did feel squishy. I'll check it better once I pick up my daughter from school and we both go to see Honey. Maybe @casportpony can help with what I need to be on the lookout for? I feel like Honey is improving and moving in the direction towards recovery just based on Honey and the fact that swelling is going down a little bit, but I may be wrong. I just want to make sure that I am doing everything I can to help her and not missing anything crucial to her well-being

Also, a bit off topic, but I just thought I'd share (this will probably be considered more of an overshare). Anytime I go visit with Honey I take a large scoop of floating waterfowl feed with me (Honey eats some small pellets that's for ducklings, I believe. Trying to get some weight back on her but being careful to keep her on the healthy slim side due to her joint) for the other duck, drakes, and the Canada Geese that are visiting and gathering their clutch. I always toss feed into the pond for the geese (named Goosie and Gander ~I'm just so original, right, hahaha!), duck, and drakes. Reggie, my handicapped Pekin Drake, hangs out around the area where Honey is kept, so I always put his feed wherever he is. I knelt down so I didn't startle him and ended up getting an unexpected unwanted view of a Drake penis, but of course I didn't realize what it was at first. My stomach sank and I was thinking, great now I've got another animal with an injury. So strange! I'm still a bit wierded out

@Miss Lydia @casportpony I am still treating Honey with amoxicillin and she is able to get around much better but the swelling just won't let up. Tonight we could feel some hard "stuff" in it and decided to try to get it out. Well, the "stuff" was hardened chunks or what I'm guessing might be pus? We don't feel anymore movement or "crunching" around. A lot of the heat has lessened considerably. Any suggestions? I'll continue her antibiotics
