Hi, I've been raising ducks for about a yr now, I have an eastern black duck and 2 from what I can tell Rouen ducks. The black duck Quackers is a female and she is around a year. I've notice over the past 2wks or so now that she's been losing feathers on her wings and underside of her wings. but today I noticed they are all lose and just falling out. It looks like her underside main flight feathers have barbs & are starting to grow back, but I am still concerned due to the stoppage of egg laying as well. I love this duck, we went through hell. Had her 5mnths, her & her partner took off, I spent 3wks looking for them, she made it back to my neighbors house with a messed up foot, alone. Ever since she's very special to me. Don't wanna lose her. If anyone can help I'd greatly appreciate it. Is this just normal molt or is something wrong???

Here's what she'd let me get.

Someone else was saying its probably the stakes going after her. But they have been really good. They seem to get along well and they live together and she has them by 6 months. She raised them. When they were ducklings it was July, so I'd put them in the pen with her everyday for a few hours supervised. I am only bringing this up, to cover all my bases. Plus its winter here, 20° give or take a warm day he 0222201622a_Film1.jpg 0222201622_Film1.jpg 0222201623_Film1.jpg 0222201622b_Film1.jpg 0222201625_Film1.jpg re.

Looks fine to me and normal? What are you seeing?

Thanks, and thanks! I mean I hate to seem like an amateur lol. I didn't come into this blind, I did research n all. I just don't remember reading that she's do this now. Maybe a dumb question. But what of she was in the wild, how would she survive or defend herself? I mean I clipped her and I knew that eventually I'd have to do it again, the neighbor who found her when she came back is pretty knowledgeable. But he never said she'd lose them all at once.
