Hello I have a 12 week old Cayuga duck that appears to have severe niacin deficiency. It's legs are sort of lock joint, it can't stand and sort of scoots around on its belly. Once we realized it was having leg problems we gave it niacin supplements for about 1 1/2 weeks then switched it to a regular duck feed...didn't appear to help. Is there anything we can do this late in the game? I might add we're raising it with chickens but the other duck we got at the same time is supper healthy.

Hello

and Welcome To BYC! sorry about your duckling, you might try posting in the Duck and Emergencies forums about it https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/42/ducks and www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures hope it recovers.
x2

I agree with Kelsie. I think one of the BYC sponsors is Metzer Farms(spelling?) they should know loads about ducks. I would think you could contact them and ask. I'm sure they would know about niacin deficiency...

just click on the sponsors at the top of the page. Metzers is top left side
