duck not laying eggs

she gets game bird chow and hen scratch for grain and she gets dried meal worms
I am not familiar with game bird chow but i doubt it has enough calcium for her to produce the eggs correctly. Try giving her free choice oyster shell. and check the feed to make sure it is formulated for ducks.

I just looked it up and if I am not mistaken the game bird chow is mainly for birds like quail, pheasant, turkey and other birds of that nature. I would suggest using a back yard flock feed. But I am no expert and I could be wrong.

Not sure where you are but the ducks hatched from last year only started laying today--the wonky weather where I'm at has delayed the season significantly.

I will try that thank you

she is a mallard and no loud quack and she has a mate

No loud quack is suspicious because female ducks have loud braying quacks. Males have quiet raspy quacks. Does she have a curled up feather at the base of her tail?

Mallards are also seasonal layers unlike other breeds so it could be that she just hasn't had a breeding season yet. She might start laying at some point this year.
