My first time owning ducks, one of them decided she would not only put her nest in a spot that I didnt see it, but lay a whole four eggs in it (her first eggs ever)! Its still February and the temputure can get anywhere from 60F to 20F at this point and she made the nest in an odd spot. The indoor part of the coop is on stilts with a wire bottom, and because of the cold I had trash bags on the bottom (so the hay doesn't go through the wire) with hay on top, and she made a nest with the hay on a trash bag. Anyhow, I am tempted to see if she will actually hatch her own babies, and if she does ill take them anyways, but I was curious if she could do it this time of year, especially in the place she did. Either way its really cool that she tried!
