Duck Pipped at Wrong End

I was handling some just the other day and felt them move. Maybe it's easier to feel it with the larger eggs?

I'm going to because now I'm curious... Perhaps they have but I just never really noticed. but then with smaller birds or ducks, perhaps its a little harder to feel them because they move in tiny specks..

I did candle them while she was taking the other ducklings for a walk!

Anyway, 2 of them are completely black, and the other one is black with an air sac.

I did too, almost.

BUT luckily ducks lay a lot of eggs so if you are thinking of sad thoughts, looking at a cute fluffy duckling always lifts your spirit.

Oh my gosh! I just stumbled across this thread after reading about your poor little duckling on the shorter thread. I already knew you'd lost a duckling, I just wasn't prepared for the complete involvement I felt while reading THIS thread. Much more to the story! Also makes me terrified to try and hatch anything! Eek! You all have nerves of steel, even when you thought you were losing it! Good job ladies!!
