The straw would stay wet and soggy just like the pine shavings and mold fast.

^^ That’s why I’m not using straw. It stays wet and soggy and I’ve heard that it’s hard to clean up. Also if it’s soaking wet, i’m sure mold and bacteria will grow like crazy.

Oh ok. I live in Texas do straw would dry out relatively fast in the summer.

I just use dirt. Some spots it is muddy....but I like it.
