Duck sitting but day 30?

Hi,
My lovely Indian runner has been sitting on her clutch of 12 eggs for the past 4 weeks. Unless I’ve counted the first day as her sitting a bit on the early side, I’m worried the eggs are not going to hatch. Today is day 30. When I checked on her at midday she had rolled a bad looking egg right out of the nest and had gone back to sit on the other eggs. I got a look at the eggs and it looks like there is at least one other bad looking egg in the nest. Do you think any ducklings will hatch, how long should I wait. I’m not going to bother her, I am just now getting a bit worried that all her hard work may amount to nothing. The ducklings would be a mix of runner and welsh harlequin. Any advice appreciated!

Did you count from when she laid the first egg, or from when she started sitting full time? Don't worry I've counted wrong days before too. If she hops off long enough or she lets you touch them maybe shine a torch through one and see

Not sure if this would help some, not sure why Muscovy are in it's own chart but your duck probably knows what she's doing.

I counted from when she really started sitting, so I could be a few days off. I will check her this morning and see if anything has changed. Fingers crossed for mummy duck!

I think I’m going to candle her eggs tonight, and if there is nothing then I will put some fertilised eggs under her. She has been so committed to sit on her eggs I feel awful if she doesn’t get any ducklings to mother!

Good news, 2 ducklings have hatched! I am so relieved. There’s a horrible smell so I think there’s another bad egg under her. I want to take it out but she won’t budge.
