On the contrary, they LOVE Kaine! That head-bob thing is a sign of happiness and affection. They're mobbing the poor drake like a throng of fangirls, hehe! Sorry to hear about Kobra. Drakes all turn into poopheads at some point or another. Well, 'cept maybe Tevye, but he's a special case. A head case, but...still special.

X2 Amykins has it 100% right. All the ducks want Kaine's attention NOW because he has been locked up and they have been deprived of him. Kaine would be happy to give them all attention, but not ALL AT THE SAME TIME

Tevye is a special case poophead. He is super mellow all the time but he now subscribes the the theory, "All of your treat are belong to me." This means that if someone blocks his access to a treat, he will peck them. If they don't move out of his way he will cuss them out and peck them 2 or 3 more times rapidly. This will be repeated until he gets to the treat. He is perfectly willing to share (other ducks can eat from the same hand, the same head of lettuce or the same melon), but no one is allowed to block his access by standing between him and the treat.

Really? :0 I thought it meant they wanted the other drake to leave and/or get attacked by their own partner. Kaine does get swarmed by fangirls.

Yeah, Cobra is acting really nasty to other drakes (he usually loses) and ducks. He and other drakes are harassing Donsje a lot. UGHH! At least her current partner is nice to her.

What's up with Teyve? Except for his floofy cute duck body and extra floofy crest

They are in dire need of his manliness, lol. Hopefully he calms down soon even though spring has only just started.

So Tevye is a good flock leader. But it's difficult to keep priorities straight when there's tasty treats

I filmed Eduard walking on a hedge. I'll upload it some time but the ducks are going crazy. Donsje must have started brooding because she was really in a hurry yesterday. Junior was away for about a week, she is coming again but is shy and doesn't want to come close. There are so many drakes and they are constantly fighting and acting macho, ugh

I got a new water bowl for them, I made it fancy by putting mosaic from CDs on it and some of the ducks are already using it I coated it with epoxy glue so hopefully it stays nice.

The swamp on the edge of my yard is starting to fill up, I'll try to take a video of them splashing in it and eating old snail shells. It makes a nice free source of calcium for them, and they absolutely love it.
